Great Bag w/a Few Minor Issues

*UPDATE 1/7/2022: 6 months of carrying it 5 days a week & still going strong!*I am a fitness instructor, and I needed a bag that supported my mat. I was using a fabric duffel & I would put the mat on top of it, but the handles didn't reach around my arm or shoulder that way. I researched a bunch of bags on ebay and other "fitness" sites, and this is the one I chose. I wish I could give this 4.5 stars - it is a great bag, but has a few minor issues. This has plenty of pockets, inside & out, for my smaller items, keys, and phone. The outside is durable & resists scratches, tears, etc - not one single mark on it yet!The mat buckle was the biggest selling point, and it has not disappointed! My mat stays in place while carrying the bag over my shoulder, over my arm, or in hand. The zippers are heavy duty & feel like they will last. The water bottle pockets are a little odd, not quite shaped for a water bottle, so the inside items push outward into those pockets making it awkward to easily slide a bottle in & out. I can really only slide a water bottle in when the mat is off & the bag is sitting on a flat surface. There is no bottom support to this bag, which meant the sides sagged before there was even stuff inside. I cut a piece of plastic to fit the bottom, and after it was inserted the sides hold up better and the items don't make the bottom sag. (see my 1st review photo)The stitching on both water bottle pocket top corners started pulling open the first week of use. (see my 3rd photo). It has now been 2 months, and it has not pulled open any farther, but it still doesn't look good.Overall, I'm glad I bought it, and I plan to use it for a long time to come.

Pros
  • Perfect for travel, with a compact and lightweight design that fits easily in overhead compartments and under seats on planes, trains, and buses
Cons
  • The bag lacks additional compartments for a water bottle
