Lids don't work best in jerry cans

I liked the spout itself. It was quite flexible and I could easily screw it onto gas cartridges. However, the cap that should fit on the end of the spout does not. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get the lid to stay in place. There is a ring attached to the cap which should be slipped onto the spout to prevent losing the cap, but it does not fit the spout either. The same applies to ventilation covers. Before installing it on my gas cylinder I tried to close the vent cap but I couldn't close it either. So for now I turned the spout upside down and screwed it into the gas can so the gas wouldn't evaporate. Then when I need to refill the gas, I have to take the spout out and twist it so it sticks out, only to twist and screw it back into the canister when I'm done refilling the gas. I use my gas on a generator when we lose power and I'm not crazy about going through the process while standing outside in a storm so I'll eventually find a way to cap the end of the pipe but for this Money This It's a product that was still the best buy for three spouts, and it's better than having to mess with those "safe" spouts.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • It's ok
