My 9 week old mini Aussie LOVES his toy box! He turns it over and falls asleep inside among his spilled toys. (I hope one day I can teach him how to put toys away before bed!) But I strongly recommend *not* using small wooden handles. The toy box comes with handles packaged separately (I threw them away without taking a picture, sorry!) and you can put them on the hinges yourself. I had a premonition that my pup would want to chew them, so I observed his behavior. Of course, the very first thing he did was get to work, knocking over a pen and chewing on it. I immediately removed the grips and feel much calmer now. It's not a very large toy box, so there's really no need to move or carry it. As for the durability of the box itself, I can't imagine how it will hold up to a tougher or bigger dog. of things chewed up, but I can tell you that my puppy hasn't been able to do anything destructive to him so far, even if I catch him chewing corners or loops. I follow that. I've always known that cats value boxes and containers more than the gifts inside, but now I know the same is true for puppies. :)
