This worked very well for me to restore the tip of a soldering station that has been sitting in the garage for ten years. It needed the help of a large block of ammonia, but once that block started breaking through the black oxidation crust, this stuff helped it color and shine. Now the iron works great and I think it will continue to work until the whole block eventually dies. I'm giving it 4 runs instead of 5 because it looks like I'm going to burn through the whole tub pretty quickly. This is a very small tray.
