Review on 🍳 Tebery Stainless Steel Oil Strainer Pot: 1.9 Quart Container for Kitchen Cooking, Frying & Bacon Fat - Fine Mesh Strainer & Lid Included by William Whisperer

Made in China. I have not sifted and reused cooking/cooking oil before. I bought this strainer, pot and 3 piece lid to reuse the oil. The inside dimensions of the pot are 5 1/2 inches deep and 5 1/4 inches in diameter. I haven't confirmed the volume but it says it holds 1.9 litres. All you need to do is attach the black plastic handle to the lid. The lid fits in the colander, but can also fit in the pot. The lid-pot interface is not airtight under tension, but is rather loose. The pot has a small spout that adds air leaks. I suspect this product will serve my purposes; However, I'm wondering if the lid doesn't close tightly and what the impact is on oil retention and/or odor control. The price was reasonable as I am new to vegetable oil screening/storage but I suspect this may not be the end product I will be focusing on in the future.
