The perfect flash for every skill level. I'm just starting out with non point and shoot camera photography. I was able to get a Canon 7D from a friend of mine and he suggested this particular flash. After some reading, very few PROS advise against this flash. Compared to $500+, it's amazing that this flash can compete with well-known brands. The only thing is the camera can communicate with the flash so you can't meter it, but it only takes a couple of shots to get the flash output up. I usually leave the flash output at 1/32 in most situations, e.g. B. at home and change the aperture or other settings. Aside from not talking to the camera, it has pretty much every other feature you could want and more than enough for an amateur photographer. The photo I've added to this review was taken in my favorite room on a rainy, miserable day. We also have LED lights that add a strange color to photos. I used this flash with a diffuser to bounce it off the ceiling and also rotated it about 45 degrees to the right. One note: keep your shutter speed low or you won't get the good ambient light in the background. Mine was at 1/60 for this image. I also used it with the base 18-55 lens at 5.6f, so I was very impressed with how well it came out. I can't wait to use it with the best lenses and during the holidays! A note: I take pictures in RAW format and process them in Canon's free DPP software. I never did this until last week, and with a little reading you can easily make your photos look a lot better than the JPEGs the phone creates. It took me about 3 minutes to make a few edits to this image. Again, I highly recommend it to everyone! It doesn't feel cheap, the menu is easy to use and offers VERY flexibility for any situation.
