Bought to replace a lost soldering station. Below is a list of what I think are the pros and cons. Let's start with the good things about this item: the magnification works well, the clips hold up well, and it has a built-in light. Now for the cons: the clips that hold the magnifying glass and alligator clip mount are poorly made and won't stay in place. The soldering iron holder does not hold the soldering iron well and is too close to the plastic screw grips on the stand so the soldering iron tip rests against one of them no matter how it is positioned. Finally, there is no place to store secondary magnifiers, meaning they will eventually be lost. Judging by the condition of the packaging this item came in, it may have been damaged and returned before sale. me. Normally I would return something like this, but for $15 I don't see the point. I just won't buy this brand again.
