I assembled our crib by myself in an hour at 7 months but this part took us both a few hours. The two shelves are not designed to hold much weight, they are good for diapers/tissues/other light baby items but don't expect to keep using them. Got a good deal so can't complain too much. However, I know how prices can fluctuate. if anywhere near the retail price - run, do not walk! :) UPDATE: 2/17/14 - My son is now 3 1/2 months and we had to stop using him, he's getting too long for me to even have a soft pack of wipes on his changing pad and when he starts using to kick your legs, the whole table wobbles a bit.
