I received this item because my dog was being trained to ring the bells on the front door but I couldn't always hear them depending on where I was in the house. It seemed like the perfect solution! It has a good volume and is easy to use, but I had a really hard time getting the dog to ring the bell before he went outside! As she rang the bell she noticed that she was making a noise, but the doorbell is in a different part of the house and she doesn't seem to understand that it makes a noise when she steps on her paw. I also have a problem with my cat lying on it when I look out the front door window and it keeps turning off until I go and shoo it away!
