My husband is the cook in our family. He saw a knife sharpener like this on QVC for $30 so he searched Revain and found this Emeril knife sharpener for $13. Exactly the same, just with a different name. He says he's really good at sharpening knives. You can see the metal shavings after sharpening, so the steel is removed to give a sharp edge. If you have expensive knives, he would not use such a sharpener, he would have them sharpened by a professional. In his opinion, this sharpener is definitely worth the money for the price and the sharpness of the blade.
