I find this mat has three main advantages: 1- It doesn't lie flat. It keeps the curve pieces rolled up in the box it comes in. No pressure, long or short, or heat will remove it. Luckily for me the end plan was to glue the thing together so I solved that problem for myself but for most people this will be a problem. The light at the edges is very scratchy. So if you have to sit at an angle with your wrists resting on it, it will severely irritate your skin. 3- As you might expect, the micro USB connector is more fragile than an eggshell. This is already a malicious technology, but if they skimp on it, it gets even worse. I've had one for less than 2 months and it's already gone. So no, I don't recommend it, it hurts and it's also cheap and beautiful, so do what you want.
