The role will not win!
We've argued with the pulley behind the fan nut on my husband's Duramax more times than I care to admit. Spend about 4 hours each time with lots of swearing and flying tools. I gave up and ordered this and a giant strap key. The husband met a FedEx guy, ripped open the package and turned off the fan in 15 seconds. Definitely the right tool for the job. Water pump repaired, Duramax happy. Just buy this tool, you won't believe you've ever tried any other way!
