Worked great and by the way I had to remove the fan clutch about 7 times thanks to that stupid o-ring on the bypass pipe which I was so thankful for that I bought him it this tool.

We've argued with the pulley behind the fan nut on my husband's Duramax more times than I care to admit. Spend about 4 hours each time with lots of swearing and flying tools. I gave up and ordered this and a giant strap key. The husband met a FedEx guy, ripped open the package and turned off the fan in 15 seconds. Definitely the right tool for the job. Water pump repaired, Duramax happy. Just buy this tool, you won't believe you've ever tried any other way!

Finally; holding tool that works. I had to remove the fan clutch which was damaged in a frontal impact. Tried all the pulley holders from the auto parts store. Nothing worked. I thought I might have to use a hotkey here. Bought a Shley tool. Used with a Proto 1 3/8 socket wrench. I attached the Schley to the stabilizer with a piece of steel and then levered everything out with the wrench. Schley persevered. Did the job. Great tool.

Not a good tool. 2 pins fell off on first use. Before I bought the tool, I read the reviews and saw that the same thing happened to another person, but I still decided to try this Scheley tool. Now I regret what I did. I had to send the device back and get my money back. Revain always takes care of my returns very quickly. Well, there are many ways to remove the fan clutch, but for Duramax this is absolutely the right decision! I tried everything I knew and watched some stuff on YouTube. Air hammers, big wrenches, you name it, and we've tried. The fan clutch on my 2005 LLY just got stuck. No parts store had a wrench big enough to install the Duramax so I ordered this tool and had the fan removed in 2 minutes! High quality, easy to use!

I bought this to remove the fan from my 2003 Chevy Duramax and it worked great. It fits snugly into the holes on the pulley and is thin enough that I can easily slip a wrench over the fan nut. I've used it on several trucks and it shows no signs of wear or damage. The metal seems to be of good quality and the rubber grip on the handle is good so you don't have to worry about hurting yourself. Your hands on the narrow edge of the tool once you start pulling properly.
