Driven APM - Works fine when deployed together

I like most of what we implement in our environment with regard to application performance monitoring (APMs). It can be improved upon but it does deliver useful information about system health for applications running inside your containers or Kubernetes orchestration framework deployments as well within VMWares virtual environments using VirtualBox/XenServer etc..The price is not bad either - you only need one device per container / VM. If everything goes according plan then nothing significant comes out against this vendor's offering so far! We are working on solving issues relating to how much memory Docker uses at runtime without having any impact onto overall capacity utilisation via their product line which includes AppDynamics' solution called Micro-services Monitor; also known by its internal version "ASMI". The ability to have a single view of all application performance monitoring data across the organization. It's easy to use and has helped us identify opportunities for improvement in our applications. Some of the more advanced features are not as intuitive, but can be figured out with some time. We've been able to improve the performance of our applications by identifying issues before they become an issue.

Pros
  • It's easy to setup and manage
Cons
  • It would be nice to have some more features like the ability to create custom dashboards
