Mann Cabin Micro Filter OEM

These are genuine Mann BMW filters at a fraction of the price you would pay at a dealer or many other online auto parts suppliers. You need to buy two filters and install them in the right direction depending on the airflow into the dashboard. Installation takes about 10 minutes using just a screwdriver and ratchet to loosen the plastic filter housing fasteners. These filters often cost over $40 each from a dealer or other parts supplier. Replacements at the dealer easily cost over $100, which is totally unnecessary when the work can be done at home for a total cost of around $45 plus shipping. You can follow the whole process of installing a single filter at [.]. When you're done, all you have to do is reset the microfilter's service interval. This process is shown in various YouTube videos when you search for a BMW E60 Service Interval Reset. Basically all you have to do is 1) turn the ignition key to the first position and wait for the service reminder light to go off. 2) press and HOLD the tripmeter button. After about 3 seconds, either the triangle with the exclamation mark or the oil change interval display lights up. This will reset your trip mileage to 0. This is unavoidable. 3) Now press the odometer button to scroll through the gauges until you get to the microfilter reset gauge (the microfilter icon looks like a muffler with rows of dots inside it and has a small fan blade icon above it on the left side - see iDrive service menu to see what it looks like). 4) Press and hold the odometer reset button until the message "Reset?" appears. 5) Press and hold the odometer button until the microfilter odometer reading resets (probably to 15,000). That's all. Turn off the ignition. Note that cycling through the different lights and resetting the service intervals can also be done using the BC button on the turn signal knob, but you still need to access the service gauge menu using the odometer button.
