The screw holes in the engine block are approx. 43 mm deep. At least with my E39 engine. These inserts are 24.5mm long. And only use about 21mm thread engagement. So. Do yourself a favor and find inserts that are at least 30-35mm long. Then I would trust them. Don't use them if they don't match the depth of your hole. And maybe not tighten to full capacity.
