VERY, VERY bright bulbs. you have been warned
Used to replace steering wheel bulbs in Silverado 05'. If you do the same, you're doing yourself a favor. Bend the legs around the bulb and solder the bulbs so they face the board (away from the button) otherwise you can't see at night to drive at night. These bulbs are STUPID BRIGHT. All I could see was my blue reflection in the windshield, so I had to take the knobs out and reverse the direction of the bulbs. No resistance required. My app wasn't exactly "plug and play", but it's as easy as soldering and plugging.
