Good day, dear readers of my reviews. Today my review will be about the Chinese-made radio station "Retevis" model RT86. This is the same radio that I promised to talk about in previous reviews of the Kenwood FTY-10 Turbo radio and KENWOOD TK-F7 TURBO radio This radio station is also with a hidden display under the plastic, as well as the output power of the transmitter is ten watts, but its price is exactly half that. That is, instead of the Chinese Kenwood, you can buy two Chinese Retevis. The choice is yours. So the look: On the upper part of the walkie-talkie there is a difference from the counterparts, an antenna, at the place of switching channels the volume control is combined with a switch, but on the right where the volume control is usually located, this is a flashlight. And the channels in this radio station are switched on the side switch under the large Reception-Transmission button, there are two buttons, which are usually turning on the flashlight and turning off the noise suppressor, and here it is the channel up, the channel down (so to speak, Retevis breaks stereotypes): On the reverse side, as usual, a hatch for a headset or a programming cord: A big plus of this model, unlike the Kenwood ones I mentioned above, is that it is programmed by a regular Baofeng programmer and the distance between the jacks is standard. Accordingly, the headset also fits the usual one from baofeng. I consider this a big plus, but in those Kenwood a big minus. So it's time to turn on the radio and show the display: As we can see, everything is the same, everything you need and nothing more, the number of the enabled channel and the degree of battery charge. Back view: I did not screw the clip, it comes with the kit of course. Below we see two heels for charging the radio in the charging glass. The charging glass is of course automatic, that is, it will automatically turn off at the end of the charge and will not allow the battery to be recharged, thereby extending its life. But now it is already probably in every radio station, there was no automatic charging for kenwood 2107 3107, so the batteries did not live there for a long time. Let's disconnect the battery from the radio station to see what the manufacturer promises us in terms of its capacity: They promise 4000 mAh, I have not checked how true this is, but we will probably believe the manufacturer, because with ten watts of the transmitter, a weak battery will be discharged very quickly, but this one is normal holds a charge. The sensitivity of the receiver is not even bad, compared with other models. The frequency range, like most UHF 430-440 radios, is indicated on the radio station itself, but I reprogrammed it outside of this section and everything went well. Most likely, the standard range of 400-470 is the Chinese made a mistake and not in their favor. In general, probably everything I wanted to tell. Thank you for taking your time to read my review.
