I tried this product for the first time and thought it would work well even though it's a 'no name' brand. I installed another unnamed USB 2.0 adapter almost identical to this one on another computer I had. This adapter worked great. It was very easy to install and Windows XP correctly loaded all the drivers for it. When I plugged in the USB stick, it seemed to work. Then when I plugged in the USB hard drive it opened fine, but when I started copying the files the files window blinked and blinked and then Windows stopped responding. I even had to reboot once, and Windows would get stuck loading. I removed this adapter and rebooted and everything is working fine again. So now I'm stuck again and using the 2 onboard USB 1.1 ports.
