About 15 years ago we installed landscape lighting with a beautiful craftsmanship style. It turned out that the lamp holders weren't very good, but we managed to keep them working and finally we wanted to replace incandescent lamps with LEDs to reduce their energy consumption. Most of the bulbs we tried in other lights weren't very bright, so I started looking for something a little more than the 2W or 3W bulbs commonly used in landscape lighting. I also began to question how many lumens lightbulbs produce, which is a measure of brightness, as opposed to wattage, which is a measure of energy use. This lamp had a lumen display of almost 500, which is very bright. I decided to try them out. Well they are bright! Our paths are now much better lit with these LEDs than with the incandescent bulbs they replaced, and the light is well distributed in all directions too. While a 5 watt bulb uses a few watts more than most other LEDs, the extra brightness is worth it and is still about 1/3 the wattage of an incandescent bulb. , but if you want nice bright trails they do the job perfectly, love them! 👍
