I was having trouble connecting this item to my Surface. I've read about other users' negative experiences using third-party Displayport adapters. The problem seems to be the Surface's beveled edges, which prevent third-party adapters from connecting securely and eventually falling out. However, this article appears to have been designed for the Surface Pro tablet! The plugs are firmly connected and display images without having to fiddle with any settings! The only setting I had to change was the resolution. After I plugged it in, the tablet's resolution changed to 720p on both displays. I had to manually change it to 1080p, which I don't see as a problem.
