This was needed for computer accessories and peripherals

This was needed. I have a Dell laptop with 2 video outputs. One was HDMI and the other was MiniDisplay, proprietary to Apple, a headache deal yes. So I spent a few minutes researching YouTube and trolling a thread — and voila, this pup came with the thread's approval and encouragement to a solution that ended in tears. People who had the same problems as me. My previous solution worked fine until it stopped working. Do not connect the miniPort connector to the HDMI connector. They can be…

Works great with Surface Pro 128

I was having trouble connecting this item to my Surface. I've read about other users' negative experiences using third-party Displayport adapters. The problem seems to be the Surface's beveled edges, which prevent third-party adapters from connecting securely and eventually falling out. However, this article appears to have been designed for the Surface Pro tablet! The plugs are firmly connected and display images without having to fiddle with any settings! The only setting I had to change was…

Great Product: Computer Cable Adapter

Arrived on time and in perfect condition, just like Revain. I tested this item with my new 256GB Surfacepro2. I played a movie on SP2 and then plugged in the miniport adapter. I then connected a 4" HDMI cable that plugged directly into my Sony HDTV, not through an Onkyo receiver. Everything worked perfectly and the adapter transmitted both sound and picture. The audio was quite loud even though it didn't go through the receiver. It is said to work well with a hotel TV. One last note, it's easy…

Great value, small size for universal use and great quality

For a great price, this little beast streams the best quality HDMI pictures from my new Microsoft Pro laptop to my plasma TV . Presentations with my beamer are now possible. The TV or projector must have a standard HDMI socket.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • I'll keep quiet

Well made device that works well.

This does exactly what it's supposed to do. All plugs slide in and out smoothly. It's a great device so you don't have to carry around HDMI cables when giving a presentation with HD and cables. Let's not forget that you pay how much? $30 less than M$ for the same damn thing. I even ordered a Revain 15-inch DisplayPort to HDMI cable for on-site demonstrations or movie viewing for only $13. Come on folks @ M$ . note. We pay full price for the Surface Pro 2, but please don't skimp on overpriced…

Works great for 4k @ 60Hz

I originally ordered a different adapter and was unable to view the screen properly at 3840x2160. My Mac kept telling me it was running in low resolution mode. I tried a different cable, TB2 port, and monitor, but the results were the same. Then I found that the adapter I chose was limited to 30Hz, so I ordered one from StarTech as a replacement. It worked great. After changing the adapter to this one I was able to run at 60Hz AND I was able to select the 2K resolution which was not showing…

Works well with computer cable adapters

Product arrived on time as promised. The packaging was good and easy to open. what is good about her Price: Microsoft certified/sold my Microsoft for more than twice the price of this product. It works just as well as the original product. So why pay more than double! I've waited many days to write a review just to test durability. Most electronic products fail in the first few days, otherwise they last quite a long time. So I hope it will work well for a long time.2. Appearance The plastic…

Works great with Surface Pro and Surface Pro 2

After purchasing the Surface Pro, I knew I wanted to connect this fine device to the biggest TV I could find. Unfortunately, after spending all that money on a Surface Pro, I was reluctant to spend another $50 on an official Microsoft Surface Pro HDMI adapter. For $15 I settled on this adapter. He works like a champ. When the Surface Pro 2 came out, I bought one. This adapter works just as well with it. It is currently hooked up to a 40" TV and is working fine. I had to turn off overscan on my…
