I originally ordered a different adapter and was unable to view the screen properly at 3840x2160. My Mac kept telling me it was running in low resolution mode. I tried a different cable, TB2 port, and monitor, but the results were the same. Then I found that the adapter I chose was limited to 30Hz, so I ordered one from StarTech as a replacement. It worked great. After changing the adapter to this one I was able to run at 60Hz AND I was able to select the 2K resolution which was not showing with the other adapter. I'm definitely glad I found this. For the curious, I'm using a Mac Pro (black trash can) with Mojave, connected it to the Thunderbolt port on Bus 1, and connected the 40ft HDMI out to a studio display (LG Ultra HD at 3840 x 2160 60Hz). .
