Rivet Post!: Railing

(.Or at least sleeves for one!) After reviewing existing tubular, timber and wrought iron solutions, we settled on Stainless steel cables routed through cedar poles. Because this system has more nodes than other railing types, it's worth choosing these parts based on past performance (durability) and price. To prevent damage to relatively soft cedar poles from frictional wear, these bushings are a must. Although this is an indoor setup, we appreciate the marine grade steel in the Blika ferrules in this kit. Because we wanted to reduce the vertical gaps between each horizontal cable run, we needed a large number of sleeves to accommodate the extra cables. This kit gave us the best value per piece and build quality. Because the diameter of the drill bit in the kit is too big. as others have commented we purchased some longer drill bits that would provide perfectly parallel entry and exit holes with a single pass of drilling through the post. We were very happy with the quality, consistent bushing size and price per piece and will use this again on future projects. All in all, the recommended grommet for your next cable track installation.
