I came across Auphonix while looking for a pop screen. Auphonix makes quality headphones at a good price. So when I was looking for a shock mount on the market I was glad Auphonix makes them too. Just got mine and installed mine and am as happy with it as I am with the Auphonix pop filters. This quality is all-aluminum construction, and while I can't *see* that, the pivot points to some sort of cog - it doesn't feel like a smooth, infinitely adjustable joint, but it looks like it. .well.there are teeth. You can feel it as you tighten the handle - the angle may change a bit, as if the tooth isn't fully engaged and tightening will cause it to lock - and once it's tightened you'll notice the angle change does not change . change until the next time you release this knob. I'm glad I found another quality product from Auphonix that I would recommend to anyone looking for a shock absorber.
