Review on 🚲 Urban Bicycle Tire - Continental Supersport Plus: Enhanced Search-Engine Optimized Version by Michael Clarke

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Durable wire bead. The road tire with the highest puncture resistance.

Although I have had a lot of trouble fitting this tire on my 1987 Araya aluminum rim, I would still recommend it to any cyclist who rides on city streets. Puncture resistance is absolutely top-notch for the usual road debris we encounter, including broken glass, sharp gravel and sharp-edged cement splinters, as well as bumps in the pavement. THERE ARE NO flat clincher tires. Unless you ride solid airless/polyurethane tires, BICYCLE TIRES WILL INFLATE AND EVENTUALLY BURN. I see pictures of these tires with a screw in the reviews, various jokes about spikes, wires, staples, razor blades, etc. Guess what?. These objects colliding with ANY street tire can puncture them. Now for THIS tire: It withstands many punctures MUCH BETTER than about 98% of the street clincher tires on the market. Yes, it takes a lot of skill to install on many discs. (Although placing the wheel and partially assembled tire in the hot sun for a few hours will greatly ease the assembly effort required). This is a tire with excellent abrasion resistance and is very comfortable to drive. This is one of the best protections against punctures caused by road debris. The only change that would improve it would be to replace the foldable Kevlar bead for easier assembly.
