Review on Linon Kitchen Island Granite Top Furniture by David Gonzalez

Elegance at an Affordable Price

We were looking for something relatively compact for our newly renovated kitchen and this seemed a perfect fit. At seventy four dollars I wasn't expecting much but was shocked at the quality that was delivered. First, this product contains a lot of natural wood, although some reviewers believe it is cardboard. With no granite countertop, the unit is very light, which is a hallmark of wood versus man-made materials. Speaking of granite countertops - ours is slightly damaged so probably came from a larger piece that couldn't be sold as a complete countertop but the imperfection is minor and doesn't bother us. The top is HEAVY and is only supported by weight (it is positioned by two dowel pins). Several people have complained about the lack of a drawer lock. Well, now there is. It's a very basic device, but it works well unless you press on the drawer to open it. In this case you can go straight through the plastic stop. Assembly was easy, good detailed drawings but no verbal instructions. Each part has an identification sticker, making it difficult to use the wrong part. I always recommend using a good quality wood glue for each assembled joint and pins. This will only serve to make the device even more powerful than it already is. Very rich end result, people will never guess the price of it. The woman is very happy and that is the main thing.
