dead on arrival - awaiting support

: After many hours of work, testing and debugging, tedious repackaging and delivery to UPS, I returned the unit to Wacom and they received it and sent me more a. Wacom support was very responsive and helpful. I will update when it works again. ------------- Let's get one thing straight. This display is a wonderful thing to use. But the Cintiq is actually two things: a display and an integrated tablet. The display works great. I had no problems with the display part. I was able to get the display to work via USB-C, HDMI, or Display Port. But the built-in tablet follows me. The first problem is to set the parameters correctly. For example, on MacOS, configure the security settings correctly. I followed the instructions and the install worked fine as long as you reboot before checking. But then a mysterious USB error occurs. The touch screen and pen tablet functions are controlled via USB. And that seems to be my problem. You may find it is not your settings but USB problem when you connect USB and even the USB ports on the monitor are not working. Even if your settings are correct, the software will simply say "Device not found". Wacom support was very nice and obviously concerned that my USB wasn't working. I've tried this on 3 different computers with lots of new cables and no luck. The display works, USB pen / touch does not. Here are a few key points I've found for knowing if your device is having USB issues and not software setup issues. - You have a verified, working video/USB port connected to the Cintiq - You have installed the software correctly (especially macOS security) - The display is working correctly, but - The Cintiq touch controls (top right) are lit , but doesn't work - you can't turn it on or off Touch controls - Cintiq USB ports don't work (top left and right) - Cintiq software reports no device found So I have a very expensive display that doesn't do what it's supposed to do and I'm working with Wacom to send it back for a replacement. And this thing isn't a lightweight display that just fits in a box. It's huge and heavy and it's really a hassle to send it back. It takes hours to take it off the ergo stand and pack it back up. For the price they can do better. I have been using the Original Cintiq for over 10 years and have really enjoyed it. I hope this thing gets fixed and lasts for many years as $3,200 is a lot of money.
