Photos included in case someone like me is having trouble finding straws that fit these Tervis lids. My 2.5 year old only drinks Tervis water but since it's not the most consistent I wanted a straw for the standard 10oz Tervis cap (Tervis doesn't sell real ones themselves even if there is a hole). I've bought several sets of straws from different places and they've never matched before! I found it easiest to pinch the end and insert the straw from the underside of the lid before placing it on the mug. That. The straw there is quite dense but not pinched/kinked at all so drinking through the straw is not affected in any way. I wish they were a little longer but the straws reach to the bottom but still stick out of the lid far enough to be usable for me to handle.
