I live in Chicago and wanted these for running in about 30 degrees. They're lighter than I expected (because another reviewer said they're good for 30 degrees), as is the feel of the material. If you're aware you're running in the cold, start cool, at mile 2 warm up, so I don't want to judge it on feeling thinner. i like the style They are semi-adjacent, straight throughout, with no bulges. The best pantyhose replacement I've been looking for. Very thick, comfortable waistband with drawstring. My biggest criticism is also the elastic at the bottom of the leg. This forces the foot to wrap snugly around the ankle, much like sweatpants rather than running tights. I'm 5'8, 195 pounds, 31 inseam and 34" waist. I also took the advice of others and ordered a size smaller. I usually wear large and ordered medium. Fits perfectly. I also have the Asics Myles II pant , which is slightly thicker and is a favorite.
