I have no problems with the needle threader and thread through the beading needle. My problem is that the needle threader always breaks when I pull the thread through the eye of the needle. It wastes a lot of money by constantly buying needle threaders. So I decided to try a few different types of needles that were easier to thread. I first tried big eye folding needles, which only have a big eye at the top of the needle. The needles turned out to be wire needles with silk thread - not my favorite and a bit more flexible than I would like. Needless to say, these big eyed needles are very easy to thread as they open fully in the middle of the needle. They stay on longer than other big eye folding pins I've tried. They are slightly curved but strong enough to wrap a large strand of beads around the loom. I use them with size 10/0 and 15/0 beads with no problems. So far I've only broken one needle and that after many, many uses. As mentioned in other reviews, the thread leaves a kink where it's in the eye of the needle, but that's not a problem for me. I have also used these needles with a thin elastic to thread the beads onto the elastic faster. The crease really creates a problem here because the crease will loosen and break the elastic. My remedy for this is to make a very short ponytail and clip it along with the twist after tying the elastic. Overall I like these needles and they have made my beading process a lot easier. winding a large thread of beads on a loom. I use them with size 10/0 and 15/0 beads with no problems.
