I was fine for about 1 year, then the CD player broke down. I used it about twice a month in a clean, moderate temperature environment. It sat on a shelf in my garage and I didn't take it anywhere, so it wasn't subject to vibration, shock or impact. The error manifested itself as disc read breaks, random stops, lags or errors reading discs on boot, etc. Sometimes I had to turn off the power to get it working again, but that was temporary and didn't always work. I tested it with different CDs. I have had Sony products in the past and have been satisfied, but my experience with this product has been terrible.
