While the Aqueon Aquarium Water Change is a great tool for draining, changing or adding water, my issue was that the gravel tube is just too short to get to the bottom of the tank without stepping on a ladder (yes, I'm not that tall) and putting my hand in the water in the tank. This extra long gravel wand allows me to vacuum up gravel without having to bend down or get my hands wet, making the job easier and less messy. To be honest I don't know why this gravel tube is not included as most aquariums that would benefit the most from using a water changer are deeper than the tube that comes with it. However, changing tubes is a simple process. I would highly recommend this gravel pipe accessory to anyone using a water changer for deeper tanks like my 46 or 55 gallon tanks. This saves time, reduces even more mess and gives your fish less worry.
