🐠 Aqueon 18-Inch Aquarium Water Changer Tube Review

My aquariums are much easier to clean because they are so tall. My largest tank is 211 gallons. I have about 17 and 20 tanks together but 4 or just setting up.

This is my second. My first one ripped once because I accidentally stepped on it. Overall a great product that makes water changes in a 140 gallon aquarium that much easier. For a deep tank it is absolutely necessary

I bought a hose set with a gravel tube so short I ordered this one. I have a 55 gallon bottle and the hose it came with was short but perfect for small tanks. With this item I don't have to dip my hand in the water. Highly recommend if you need an extension.

We purchased this tube to use with the Aqueon water changer in our 55 gallon aquarium. This snorkel works great and takes the strain off your back when shoveling gravel. There is no loss of suction and the snorkel is ideal for water changes. This is our first aquarium and this product makes it easy to clean and change the water.

We have a 35 gallon hex tank that is 36" deep and this pipe is great for gravel cleaning and partial water changes water change. No more getting your whole hand wet trying to do it with a short hose. Another tip for those with deep reservoirs: use pliers to move jewelry around. Works great for me and I'm 5ft 2in. The combined height of my stand and tank is 58 inches and I don't even need a stool.

While the Aqueon Aquarium Water Change is a great tool for draining, changing or adding water, my issue was that the gravel tube is just too short to get to the bottom of the tank without stepping on a ladder (yes, I'm not that tall) and putting my hand in the water in the tank. This extra long gravel wand allows me to vacuum up gravel without having to bend down or get my hands wet, making the job easier and less messy. I bought this for my Aqueon water changer which I have used and loved for several years with no problems. This extension screwed it up. It has a significantly larger outside diameter than the hose that comes with the Aqueon Water Changer. As a result, it just doesn't fit in the slot. I'm very curious to see how the other reviewers made it work. Maybe they were the right size and I had a bad extension cord, or my original water changer is somehow different from theirs.
