If I had to rate the aesthetics I would give it a 5. I removed the palm but everything else looks realistic and works great in my bioactive terrarium. However, it was supposed to soak my snails and frogs, and while it worked well initially, after a few weeks I noticed that my soil was very wet and not holding as much water as it should. Now it is completely useless and does not hold water. If I fill it up, it's dry in a few hours. Bottom line: if you need it for some reason other than a plate of water, or if it doesn't matter if it has water in it or not, go for it. If you want it to actually work as it should then this product is not for you. Now I'm stuck with this and will use it as my main decor but I don't have the money and now I need to find a drinker that actually works.
