Review on πŸ₯₯ Cleanse & Nourish Hair Naturally with Coconut Milk Shampoo Bar by Chagrin Valley Soap & Salve by Jill Weingartner

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The hair is not clean, better for the body.

I had high hopes for this bar! It is very environmentally friendly, it can be used conveniently in the river for washing, it saves plastic and space; it's not a liquid, so you can travel with it on planes with no problem, BUT. it does not do well with clean hair and scalp. It lathers really well and initially looks promising when washed (and yes I do rinse it out completely) but it just doesn't compare to liquid shampoo for keeping my hair sparkling clean. Initially I used the shampoo without conditioner for a few days just to see how my hair was doing. And I felt like my hair was too dry and static. I live in a dry climate and needed something to tame my frizzy hair. Adding an antifreeze serum afterwards is still not enough for my hair type. I need air conditioning I then tried using apple cider vinegar as a conditioner as some reviews suggested and let me tell you I walked around smelling this vinegar all day. I only had to turn my head to smell him. I like smelling nice after a shower. And this bar smells nice, but when it's not doing its job well and I have to rinse it with vinegar, it just ruins the sense of cleanliness. I hate wasting things so instead of giving them back I just use them as body soap until they run out.
