I don't know if mine is defective or not usable at all. All the photos showed a laptop that looked like an apple, so maybe the gaming rig was too heavy? It wasn't sold anyway, so I don't feel guilty. I had a laptop stand on the coffee table while getting up for a drink only to return to my laptop on the floor. The left side of 30 degrees doesn't seem to match the interpretation of the right side of 30 degrees and this combined with using the fan feature added a little vibration that made the whole thing bounce on my floor. It's a wild guess, but other than the poltergeist, I can't figure out how else that could have happened since everything was smooth and still when I got up. The fall to the floor broke the USB cable connector that came with the mount (used to power the fan) and bent my laptop charger so badly that I felt unsafe and ordered a new one. (Thank you) I feel disappointed and cheated by this purchase. If I had to say nice things while shooting upside down I would say that everything feels solid and there was no assembly out of the box. But the locking system was uncomfortable and not effective in my case. If you only use it in bed, this might be for you. I wouldn't trust him without constant vigilance. In less than a week, this proved to be a costly burden.
