I keep buying new pans so my wife told me I had to give away some of my old sets. We just didn't have enough space to store them. After handing out a few skillets, I realized I shouldn't give out multiple skillets. When I told my wife I was going to buy another set, she was concerned about the room the whole set was in. So as a solution I bought a T-fal Ingenio Preference stainless steel cookware set. The set includes 3 pots, 2 non-stick pans, 3 lids, 2 handles and 3 lids (for storage). All pots and pans are stackable, the lids have spring-loaded handles that lie flat so they can be stacked on top of each other, and the handles are versatile and can be opened and locked on the pan in just a few simple steps. The whole set can take up as much space as a large pot. When I pulled out the first pot to make ramen, my wife joked that it looked like a metal dog bowl. It was right. At a distance yes. However, if you lift it, you might feel that it's a lot heavier, thicker, and has a flat, conductive base. There are two buttons on the handle that unlock the handle. You press the buttons, place the handle on the pan, and press the handle to attach it to the pan. As if by magic, the dog bowl looks like a saucepan. It's kinda weird and takes some getting used to. Aside from saving on fridge storage and storage lids, my favorite thing about the T-fal Ingenio Preference Stainless Steel Cookware Set is the space it saves on the stovetop. When cooking in multiple pots and pans at once, always turn the handles of the pots to get them out of the way. With 4 burners, it's 3 other pens that keep getting in your way. With T-fal Ingenio you add/remove handles and only place them on pots when needed. The only issue I have is that there is a slight wobble when the handle is locked onto the pot or pan. It's the same kind of wobble you feel on a standard set when the bolt is a little loose. While it doesn't affect what I flip the pan or stir in the pot, I always feel like the handle is dangling. I know I can get used to it, but I don't want to get used to a dangling hold. The non-stick coating on pans works well. I always check when I'm frying an egg and it has never stuck to the pan. There's also a small area in the middle that tells you when the pan is hot, which is handy when you want to know if it's cold enough to wash. All in all, the Ingenio Preference Stainless Steel T-Fal Cookware Set is a great set that will take up almost no space in your cupboard. While this saves space, it's also a great stainless steel pot and pan. I highly recommend this set.
