Polishing a few silver pieces is a lot of work and once that was done I gave them a proper polish finish. There's so much going on that proves that the first step with these cymbals didn't work. I polished plates and small cups, maybe they were too big. I suspect these magic plates work better with smaller items like cutlery. If you have a lot of silver, you'll need to change the water frequently, which means LOTS of boiling water and LOTS of baking soda. The baking soda will catalyze the reaction and cause the solution to defog. It's also difficult to work in a huge pot of boiling water. From now on I'll just make my silver the old fashioned way, with elbow grease!
