**edited** - there doesn't seem to be a way to get replacement pump/filter cartridges/charcoal without buying a whole pump every few months. You can just go to the store or order most pumps from Amazon. Now I'm stuck with a reservoir that regularly costs me $24 for a whole pump/filter - but works great - looks good - keeps it on my desk at work, gets compliments all day . The only downside is all my fish seem to want to hang out under the rock. The cliff protrudes about 4 or 5 inches and has several inches from the bottom of the tank to the cliff. So don't watch the fish come out a lot lol
