Review on πŸ”— Dock Edge Aluminum Connector 2 Piece: Sturdy & Easy-to-Assemble Docking Solution by Andre Bennett

looks a little rough but should work fine

not installed yet but as there is almost no useful information on this I decided to do a preliminary check and I can update later. You will receive 2 complete aluminum hinges with stainless steel hex head screws (approx 3/8" Γ— 2-1/2") and what appear to be bronze or brass nuts with nylock. The hinges are quite large and appear solid. The aluminum construction keeps them nice and light. I was looking at a set of electroplated braces that use male and female halves with a pin. They are much heavier and overkill for my application. They feel better and shouldn't squeak like galvanized braces. Pin Type Each hinge is attached with two screws on each side (for a total of 8 fasteners required). The hinges are 6" x 3" and the holes are 5" apart. They seem to fit my application. They look like they'll last longer than galvanized staples, but I think they compare much heavier. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the fit and finish feels a little rougher than I expected. They do the job well but almost look like limescale someone has made them in a garage. And I don't mean that as a criticism, but as an honest statement. These are dock hinges that no one will ever see. So this is about functionality, not fashion. I hope this review is helpful to anyone who considers them.If you read the whole book and look at the pictures you will have a lot more information than I.dense lines
