Large opening but rather flimsy

These open surprisingly wide to accommodate larger cables. However, when the wires are pulled in, the connectors themselves begin to flex even though they are firmly soldered to the board(s). I haven't had a single break while tightening, and every wire connection I've made with it (about 46 connections) is secure and won't slip.
