Fantastic filter! At first I thought the filter wasn't working because I couldn't see the dirt that had accumulated in the transparent filter housing. I called Pentek and they found that the filter traps sediment deep in the first layer and uses the trapped sediment to facilitate filtration. Pulled out the filter after 3 months of use and it was FILLED with sediment. Many times more than the whirlpool filters I have used. My wife has also noticed a significant reduction in deposits in our sinks/toilets. Worth every penny paid for it. Now I'm in the auto-send program.
