Oregon Scientific AW129 Wireless Grill Thermometer with Probe Thermometer and Remote Control

The sensor reads no less than 45 degrees Fahrenheit, but the specs say it should read no more than 4 degrees. On July 13, 2013, the unit failed. Apparently they are no longer of the quality they originally were. Do not buy. Just update 2/19/2012 New probe will not work with old electronics. I will come back here again after using the new probe with new equipment. I'm disappointed so far. MY ORIGINAL REVIEW. I've had this cordless meat thermometer since 2004. I'm currently looking for a replacement sensor. It was reliable and accurate and I use it often for grilling and in the oven. It shows you the target temperature, the actual temperature with labels for the different meats [beef/mutton/veal/hamburger/pork/turkey/chicken/fish] and their recommended temperatures [well/medium/medium/well done]. This device measures both C and F and has an adjustable alarm volume. This item deserves more stars. Oregon Scientific AW129 Wireless Grill Thermometer with Probe Thermometer and Remote Control
