Review on πŸ”¬ Soldering Magnifying Flashlight for Electronics - Assisting with Precision Tasks by Robert Long

Very helpful! I am very satisfied and will recommend it to my other ham friends.

I am a radio amateur with many years of manual and assembly experience. After agonizing (literally) for decades with the fragile option of 2 alligator clips on a small base for holding parts, I am very happy with this tool! The base is as described in the description, but it should also be noted that the base is quite heavy for everything I have put on the device so far. This provides just enough stability that I can press pretty hard on the parts I've been working on. The arms are long enough, flexible, and strong enough to handle what I consider a lot of work. The largest I've worked with so far is the termination section (using large coils and wrapped RG-58 coax) for a 6" x 4.5" vertical antenna, which is much heavier than a simple PCB. I was skeptical about the backlit magnifying glass. But I found it very functional and the LEDs are very bright. The only minor downside is that I wish the magnifier arm was 2-3 inches longer and the magnifier diameter about an inch larger. All in all: great choice! Well worth the extra money at $5.95. - great products. Get one and you won't regret it! (This is not a paid recommendation!)

Pros
