Review on Reese Rail πŸ”§ Kit Mounting Adapter 30156 by Todd Markel

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Missing parts have arrived. That does not work.

Overall a good product that works. You should be able to assemble it if you can decipher the pictures, but it lacks written instructions. You will need a 1.5 inch wrench to tighten the nuts. Know this before stepping in because not everyone has a ranch this size. My biggest complaint is that 1 plug out of 4 was missing. They're purely cosmetic, but I'd like to have all four. I contacted Reese yesterday and am waiting for a reply. Update 03/19/2018: Put simply, it doesn't work. After two emails and weeks later, someone from Reese (Global Horizon) replied. I finally got the end cap, but as I soon found that was the least of my worries. Today I wanted to install the hitch on the adapter but the holes don't line up so I can't install the pins. After carefully investigating the problem, I found that the side frame was welded over the cross frame where the tow hitch sits. So at 2 corners of the adapter. This will cause the coupling to oscillate and the mounting holes will not line up. I even tried drilling some more holes but not in the bones. You can actually see where the paint has worn off at the two high points of the adapter. I will contact Reese but don't expect much from them since I changed the holes.
