I bought this to cook sandwiches on the grill, not hamburgers (I grill my burgers on fire). It's the perfect size and weight to turn any skillet or shallow pan into an affordable, compact panini press. And it's a lot easier to clean than a home appliance, that's for sure. If left wet, rust spots will appear on it. I rinse it off after each use or wipe it down with a damp cloth and quickly dry it by placing it on the warm plate I just cooked my sandwich on. This works for any culinary application that requires the right amount of pressure.
