Review on 20307 Stage Power Control Module by Ryan Hadden

I was having trouble finding updates for my 496 8.1 liter engine. Do I know why I need to update this? After 149,000 miles the engine needed a dose of caffeine! If you are expecting significant improvements from this product, you must remember that we are only talking about a 25hp increase. What this product did was smooth out the shift and give it a smoother, jerkier feel. I also have a k&n air intake which complements this product perfectly. While my 2500-series Suburban LT hauls my 8,000-pound RV with ease, I'm excited to see how it performs now that I want to bypass those semis struggling to climb hills. The only issue I had was having to modify the PCM cover so I could still protect myself from the elements. This product added 1 to 1 1/2 inches of height causing the lid to not fit. I cut the cover off just long enough for the braids to be clear and the cover snaps back on and protects the main PCM body from the elements. With the K&N filter installed, I'm curious to see if the JET Stage 1 chip can even give me 0.1mpg more!
