Review on Skar Audio FSX65 4 Midrange Loudspeaker by Jason Regalado

Ordered 4 speakers for friends to install, 2 boxes were brown and 2 boxes were white with the same product number so I assumed they were those the same, just in a different package, so we removed all the regular speakers. When I opened the boxes the speakers were different as the other buyer mentioned here and posted a photo, the dust cap, magnet, basket and cross were completely different. In any case, the installation proceeded as everything was taken apart and another problem arose: 2 of the baskets were actually larger than 6.5 inches so I had to adjust the adapter bracket while the other 2 changes were not necessary. After all, they DON'T COST $20 for speakers, MY FRIENDS' STANDARD NEODIMIUM SPEAKERS SOUND CLEAR. The 4 FSX is powered by a 350.4 kicker amp so I don't think it's a power issue. I would recommend another brand like Crescendo or Sundown. cost an additional $10-$20 per speaker for SQ and QC. I should have just returned them when I saw the boxes were different but now my friend is stuck with speakers that sound no better than stock. CAREFULLY. All the 5 star reviews are probably from the same folks using the gain knob as a volume control.
