Review on ☕ Technivorm Moccamaster 79112 KBT Coffee Brewer: Enhanced Brewing Excellence in Polished Silver, 40 oz Capacity by Dante Jeppi

I didn't know this machine held a couple ounces of water in the boiler after brewing. Well, I use the coffee maker just for fun, not every day. Unfortunately, this means that standing water can stay in the boiler for days or even weeks when I think about turning the entire machine upside down over the sink to empty the tank after use. I also noticed that the shower head only distributes water. in a narrow channel above the filter, leaving a groove in the middle of the abrasive layer when finished. Given that the shower head design was supposed to be one of the Moccamaster's strengths, I found this uneven water distribution surprising and rather disappointing. There are ways to improve saturation with manual intervention, but to me the whole point of an automatic brewer is to handle the coffee itself when we're having fun, so I'd rather not do it. I really expected to love and keep Mocammaster. The awards it wins for build quality, aesthetics, speed, and temperature accuracy are well-deserved, but it didn't turn out to be the best choice for our needs.
